Tumpane’s Spring Fling Fun Fair was a big hit, drawing in plenty of students, families, and community members. Organized by the SAC, the event had plenty of food, games, prizes, draws, face painting, and two bouncy castles. Many thanks to the volunteers, the SAC, teachers and students for participating in such a wonderful school community event.
A Co-ed team of Tumpane baseball players travelled to Gosford Park School on Friday June 13th to compete in the annual TDSB West Family of Schools Tournament.
The team played 4 games (winning 1, tied 1 and lost 2 games by close scores). Although we didn’t place as high as we would have liked, the players all played very hard and had a great day in the sunshine. For many on our team it was their first experience playing an actual baseball game so I was very proud of their effort and hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
Tumpane staff put together a beautiful, elegant tea party for all of the parent and local volunteers at our school. With contributions from staff, the celebration was a hearty one, with food, desserts, drinks and beverages from around the world. A big thanks to Ms. Bedward, Ms. Giannetta, and Ms. Agbaje-Ojo, for their leadership in this event. As the thank you cards playfully said, “Thanks for your thyme!” Our volunteers, both teachers, parents and local volunteers, are priceless in so many ways. This volunteer tea is just another example of how invaluable they are! Well done, Tumpane!
