What a Night at The Winter Concert!

It was a wonderful celebration at the Winter Concert. Our students, teachers, parents, family members, and members of the community (including the School Trustee) enjoyed the numerous musical performances. A big thank you to Mr. Bellotto for leading the entire evening, from months of preparations to the finer details of organizing the music and performances.  Mr. Harvey’s fundraising initiative and the sale of “Rudolph’s Blinking Red Noses” raised over $500 for the non-profit organization, Hope in Action Emergency Fund. It’s great to see so many people involved in bringing about change and hope for our larger community. Well done Tumpane!

We’re the Conference Champions!

Our Grade 5 Girls’ Basketball Team is now the Conference champions! In a closely played game against Chalkfarm Public School, Tumpane came out on top in the final quarter of play with a score of 14-13. Congratulations to Coaches, Ms. Given, Ms. Bedward, Mr. Bannister, and to all the girls on the team. We’re so proud of you all!

Hope in Action’s Red Nose Campaign

Mr. Harvey’s class is excited to announce that our school will be participating in the Hope in Action Red Nose Campaign to assist Toronto students in need.  At our Winter Concert on December 15th Mr. Harvey’s class will be selling flashing red Rudolph noses for $3.00.

All proceeds go to the Hope in Action Emergency Fund that provides students with food, warm clothes, gloves, shoes, winter boots and other necessities. The need is great, with requests for assistance coming in daily.

For more information on the Hope in Action Emergency Fund, please visit the website of the Toronto Foundation for Student Success at www.TorontoFoundationForStudentSuccess.ca.  We encourage all Tumpane students to participate and help support this great cause.
